So my homies over at "The Board" sent me the registration form for their upcoming freestyle and sneaker competition "Lyrics & Laces"
"The 2009 Lyrics & Laces event is the premier event produced by The Board DC's newest multi facet entertainment company. This a one-day hip-hop and sneaker expo focused on creating social awareness and emphasizing goodwill. Based on the metropolitan area’s developing hip-hop music and sneaker community scenes, We are creating a prime opportunity for DC area emcees.
The 2009 Lyrics & Laces event is a combination rap freestyle battle contest and sneaker exchange. The Lyrics portion of the event will feature sixteen (16) of the area’s aspiring rappers squaring off in a tournament-like freestyle battle contest. The winner will receive various prizes to help further their musical career.
There will be a sneaker exchange sponsored by many top designers such as Nike, Addidas, and Greedy Genius to name a few.
